Distillery: Hazelburn (Springbank)

Range: Rundlets & Kilderkins

Background: Hazelburn was a distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland, which was in operation between approximately 1825 and 1925. Since 2005, Springbank bottles a whisky called Hazelburn Single Malt. Rundlets & Kilderkins are small casks commonly used in the 1700s and 1800s because they were small enough to smuggle. Distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2010 after 10 years and at 50.1%, the small casks have kicked up the speed of maturation.
