Background: Tomintoul is located in Ballindalloch, in the Speyside region of Scotland, producing malt whisky for blends and bottled as single malts. It’s a young distillery having opened in 1964. Tomintoul is known as “the gentle dram” and has a lowland feel to it. They’ve recently rebranded they’re range. Tomintoul Peaty Tang is made from a combination of unpeated Tomintoul malt and heavily peated Ballantruan malt also produced at Tomintoul.  It’s the only peated malt officially bottled by the distillery
