For this tasting, we’re ripping a page out of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. We will be presenting 6 whiskies in a blind tasting where the members/participants will get to name the whiskies based on their nose and flavour profiles. Participants will be put into groups of 4 or 5 so that we have 6 teams. The event will run much like the game Cards Against Humanity. One team will pick the best or most creative name among the other 5 teams, that best summarizes the whisky being tasted. Points will be awarded for having their name chosen. The team with the most points wins.
Although the whiskies are not known, the whiskies are all single scotch malts ranging from 12 to 20 years of age, and will include non-common distilleries.
